Underworld: Evolution Props

Looking to add to your already existing Kate memorabilia, or perhaps start a collection? Well, here are a two items available from which might be of interest to you:

The first item is the exact pair of Gauntlets that Kate wore in Underworld: Evolution. This is the real deal and even has "Kate Hero" written by the wardrobe department on the inner side of the pad.

Link to the Gauntlets

The second item is merely a replica, but is still undoubtedly cool.

"These boots are a replica of Selene's Boots in The Movie Underworld Evolution. They have a 4" heel and a 1.5" high sole, and made of first grade Cowhide. They are calf high and feature a lace up front with adjustable leather buckled straps. They also have a zip up side and feature knife holster on the right side of the right boot. "

New Kate Photos? No Way.

According to I'm not, these particular photos of Kate were taken just a few days ago at a "PBS Symposium". However, I think they have very much been given the incorrect information. Though Kate has a tendency to recycle her outfits, Kate was seen - scratch that, looked - identical to this at Miramax's pre-Oscar party back on March 23rd, 2002. The first thing that caught my eye was of course that spectacular denim dress (few could pull of such a dress, eh?). Everything is indentical: hair (which is longer than her current length); facial age; shoes; makeup, etc.

Verdict? Don't be fooled, these pictures are not new; they were taken back in '02.

Here's a picture taken from the Miramax party back in '02:

Underworld 3: The Rise of the Lycans

After much discussion as to whether Kate would appear in the third Underworld film - a prequel - the rumours have finally been put to rest. Kate will not be returning for her role as Selene.

"Underworld 3: The Rise of the Lycans" is as I said a prequel and focuses on the forbidden relationship between a Vampire and a Lycan; particularly the story of Lucian and Sonja mentioned in the first film. Michael Sheen (Kate's ex, for those who didn't know) returns for his role as Lucian, while Sonja will be played by English beauty Rhona Mitra.

Though I'm disappointed to see Kate returning not - as I'd imagine most every Kate fanatic is - to the role and franchise which more or less sparked her career, I am glad they choose Rhona Mitra as somewhat of a replacement. She's a good actress and undoubtedly beautiful. Returning as the director is of course Mr. Wiseman.

"Hollywood Plugs Its Tale of a Leak"

Vera Farmiga, left, as CIA operative Erica Van Doren and Kate Beckinsale as journalist Rachel Armstrong play fictionalized versions of CIA operative Valerie Plame and New York Times reporter Judith Miller in "Nothing but the Truth's" take on the 2005 identity leak.

MEMPHIS -- What Hollywood is calling "the Judith Miller movie" is now filming on location here, but prepare yourselves: Some changes are being made to the story inspired by the outing of a CIA agent.

For starters, in the movie Judith Miller is no longer Judith Miller of the New York Times, but Rachel Armstrong of the Washington Capital Sun. And while the real Judith Miller may be remembered as a stylish, slightly scary reporter of 59, headed off to jail in a quilted black jacket and tortoise-frame sunglasses, in the movie she is a sizzling Kate Beckinsale, 34, dressed in a, shall we say, form-fitting skirt.

Trust us, if this Rachel Armstrong had asked I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby how to spell Valerie Plame's name, he would have taken pen in hand. (Miller famously wrote in her notebook "Valerie Flame.")

"People could say Kate is too good-looking to be a reporter," admits Rod Lurie, the writer and director of the independently financed film.

The above article is continued at the following link - CLICK HERE - Courtesy of The Washington Post

How would Beckinsale describe her character? "She's a working mom. Her marriage is in a lull. Her husband is a novelist, and there are issues of professional jealousy. And this is the biggest story of her career," says Beckinsale between scenes, in a slight British accent that she loses to play Armstrong. "I think, yes, she is a good journalist," and here Beckinsale gives us a throaty laugh, "given that I've always seen you people as the enemy."

Spike TV Awards?

As most are already aware, the 2007 Spike TV Movie Awards aired this past Tuesday, and according to multiple sources Kate won the "Scream Queen Award". Yet, I still have yet to find any real confirmation on this as for starters, I don't have cable television thus I wasn't able to watch the show for myself and two, I haven't seen any news headlines nor pictures from the event. Suffice to say, if Kate did in fact win this particular award, she didn't make an appearance.

Can anyone confirm? Did Kate win?

Kate is Stocking-Fabulous

We love Kate Beckinsale for many reasons; one of them, is that she sometimes wear fantastic pantyhose; just look at the latter images. She is not afraid to wear the same dress she used in a previous party/red carpet event. Great Kate! Well, she is fantastic in the Wonder Woman cosplay also ;)

Manicures & Pedicures on Sunday

The gorgeous Kate Beckinsale, along with her husband Len Wiseman and her daughter Lily, spent a relaxing Sunday afternoon getting pampered with manicures, pedicures and neck massages at a spa in Santa Monica. I have to say I’m impressed to see a man getting his nails done, especially in the feet region! Is this something a lot of American men do?

When they returned to their car, Kate could be seen picking up a huge present from the back seat. Were they off to a party or was it Lily’s birthday? Thus the family day out?

Be sure to check the video out.

Kate New "Scream Queen"!?

In early September, I mentioned that Kate was yet again being nominated for Spike TV's "Scream Queen" award, and having already won in 2006, I doubted that she'd win again. However, according to press releases sent out by Spike TV to such websites as and, Kate has won the 2007 "Scream Queen" award!

Stay tuned as more information is likely arise over the next couple of days.

"Favourite Kate"

Just Yesterday, set up a poll asking it's readers who out of the many Kate's in Hollywood, etc was their favourite. The poll, which includes 6 different individuals with the name "Kate", has already managed to rack up an astonshing 682 votes. And unforuntately, our Kate isn't doing too well. With just 87 votes (including mine), she 20 votes behind Kate Walsh, 45 behind Kate Hudson and some 159 votes behind Kate Winslet!

So c'mon then, help me and let's get Beckinsale above Walsh. =)

HERE to vote in DearSugar's poll.

Memphis Production for "Nothing but the Truth"

"Nothing But The Truth," an upcoming movie set in Washington, will be filmed in Memphis.

The movie, starring Matt Dillon, Alan Alda, and Kate Beckinsdale, comes to town as the result of a major campaign by the Memphis and Shelby County Film and Television Commission.

Much of the shooting for the film will take place in Judge Bernice Donald's courtroom at the federal building downtown.

Speaking by phone from a convention in New Mexico, Memphis and Shelby County Film and Television Commission Chairman Linn Sitler said "Nothing But the Truth" director Rod Lurie was attracted to Memphis by new incentives Tennessee enacted to lure film makers.

"Where if you leave a million dollars in the state, you receive a 15% refund on certain aspects of your expenses," she said.

As part of the incentive deal, movie makers agree to hire local people and feature music in the film by Tennessee musicians.

"These people will leave two or three times what the state will give them, and the city and county gives them, in terms of job training, and we will end up with yet one more great film on our resume and more trained crew people," Sitler said.

Another incentive was free office space movie makers will be given on Beale Street. More incentives are expected to follow.

Sitler said it is all the result of teamwork involving state, city and county officials, as well as some federal help from Senator Steve Cohen's office.

Hoping to Spot Kate?

If so, a likely place to spot Kate (According to CoutureCentral) would be at Decades located on 8214 1/2 Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, California (postal code 90046). Additionally, CoutureCentral states other such celebrities from Kate Moss to Charlize Theron have been spotted shopping at the highly regarded store which apparently stocks "some of the best vintage clothing" in California.

If you're a Kate fanatic, It'd most probably the best starting point to get the chance to meet her, or at least spot her.
