"A typically chic Kate Beckinsale is spotted taking her daughter Lily Sheen out to celebrate her 9th birthday on Tuesday at a firehouse in Santa Monica, CA.

Joined by one of Lily’s BFFs, the mum-and-daughter duo enjoyed a tour and even a quick ride on a fire truck!

As for Kate and her director hubby Len Wiseman, don’t expect the UK imports to return to their motherland any time soon. In a new interview, Kate said: “I’ve had the training in the wind and snow, but I’ve completely lost my tolerance for bad weather. I’m terrible. I can’t even go home in the winter.”

Oh deary me. Would you have a look at that outfit. That ought to turn heads, especially as the pants aren't exactly your regular pair old jeans, but the perfect pair of body forming spandax(?). And suffice to say, the boots certainly add to her already vibrant sexiness and allure. And the zebra-styled long arm top, you ask? I think it looks perfect. Nice outfit Kate!

For once, a celebrity was spotted flipping the bird -- and it wasn't toward a paparazzo!

TMZ was outside actor/dancer/onetime Britney plaything Columbus Short's birthday party last night at Crustacean, where "Whiteout" co-star, Kate Beckinsale, gave the finger to another guest before driving away for the night.

The British beauty left showing off her wild side, but showed up with director hubby Len Wiseman -- carrying a large box of presents and champagne -- a gift collection that's sure to get her on invite lists for many future birthday bashes!

Happy Birthday Kate!

Today is a special day folks...today is Kate's 34th Birthday!

While others, (maybe even Kate herself) might deem turning 34 years of age as a negative; I can only see it as a positive. As I've stated in the past, I feel that Katie is aging like fine wine and as a result, is getting considerably sweeter with age.

Furthermore I'd like to send out my congratulations on this special day to Kate's successful film career. Sure, she's doesn't have a net worth equal to Jessica Alba, nor have some of her recent films been that great; nevertheless there's no doubt that she's well paid and is currently on the rise. Not to mention, while still relatively unknown in the mainstream of Hollywood (I really do think so), Kate has gone from a side casted, low payed actress to an ass kicking, film leading, box office churning babe. I hope the following years are even prosperous for her.

I truthfully wish that she has the absolute best Birthday a person could have!(husband Len Wiseman better make sure of that ;-) )
