Top 99 Women 2008 (AskMen)

It's that time again folks. On January 31st of 2008, AskMen.com will reveal an entirely new list of the Top 99 most desirable women. While Kate was voted as the 22nd most desirable woman in 2005 by AskMen, her 2006 placement of 74th was a complete farce. But then what can you expect, not everyone has great taste... :-p

Unfortuntately, and as you all already know, 2007 hasn't been the most exciting year for us Kate fanatics. She hadn't much, if any media exposure. That being said, I'm not expecting her placement to rise all that much.

Nevertheless, let's keep our figures crossed, and hope for the best!

"Dante Valentine series"

Do take note that the author of who wrote the post was merely expressing a pipe dream. This is not in anyway a real acting position for Kate. Nevertheless, it makes for an interesting read:

"Lilith Saintcrow is the author of five novels in the "Dante Valentine series" as well as other books.

If the Dante Valentine series is adapted for the movies, here are Saintcrow's ideas about the principal cast members:

Since I'm a very visual writer, I usually do play the game with myself -- "who would I cast in my books?"

For the Valentine series, some of it is simple. I would love Fairuza Balk or Rachel Weisz as Dante, since both have that edge of competence. I would also, if I'm dreaming, like Cate Blanchett for the role, since Dante isn't traditionally pretty.

For Japhrimel, I would pick Karl Urban. There's a scene in The Bourne Supremacy where Karl, as the bad guy, shoots Bourne -- and that, right there, is Japh. He's also got the correct eyebrows. Though I would love to see what Adrien Brody would do with the part. Christian Bale would be pretty to look at, but if push came to shove it would be Brody. He just has the talent to play a demon, you know.

Other parts include: Kate Beckinsale as Gabriele Spocarelli, Tilda Swinton as Lucifer (the ONLY choice!) and Jason Statham as Jace. Giovanni Ribisi would be my first choice for Eddie, and as Santino? Brad Dourif. No question.

Just stumbled upon these candids which I seem to have missed. Doh. They were taken on the 15th of December while the trio was completing some Christmas shopping.

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

And I must admit, never did I think KateBecks would become what it has today. When I started this blog it was merely a hobby, but now - after less than a year of operation - I have managed to not only gather a ton of traffic, but a small base of loyal readers.

I suppose I needn't to tell anyone that running a website - whether it be a conventional website or a blog such as this one - isn't easy work (especially as I'm the only one here!), but it's highly enjoyable at the end of the day. I look forward to our future - the site's growth, new readers and naturally, more news pertaining to our lovely Kate.

As always the three (or the four that it is - seems Lily has brought a friend along) are looking great. I adore the photos of Kate and Lily as the resemblance between the two gets greater as Lily ages.

She's looking fantastic, isn't she? Love the wavy hair, and am glad to see she's finally gotten that particular style back. For those of us hardcore fanatics, you might recall that's it's been a long while since we've seen Kate sport such a hair style. Through 2004 her hair was most always styled like this, while in 2005 it started to drift away and in 2006 and most of 2007, it was almost non-existent.

"Why is it every time I see Kate Beckinsale doing ANYTHING her hair is flawless? Don’t get me wrong, I am really happy for her that she is blessed with such great genes. BUT COME ON! Give a girl a break. I’m running around town with a ratty ponytail and this girl looks like she is filming a Pantene commercial all year long. What shampoo does she use!!
